  • 1/2 cup Korean Gochujang Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil or water
  • 1/3 cup coconut aminos
  • 2-3 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp chili garlic sauce
Brussels Sprouts Ingredients
  • 7 cups halved Brussels sprouts heaped
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil or avocado oil
  • 3 Tbsp coconut aminos
  • thinly sliced shallot or green onion optional
  • chopped roasted salted peanuts optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare sauce by mixing Gochujang sauce, sesame oil (or water), coconut aminos, maple syrup, sea salt, and chili garlic sauce in a small mixing bowl. Set aside.
  2. Rinse, dry, and halve the Brussels sprouts, removing any large stem portions.
Cooking
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add sesame or avocado oil (or water).
  2. Add Brussels sprouts to the skillet, season with coconut aminos, and spread them evenly in the pan.
  3. Cover and cook for 2 minutes, then uncover and stir-fry for 2 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Once caramelized, add sliced shallot or green onion (if using) and the prepared sauce. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes to coat the sprouts.
  5. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with crushed peanuts if desired. Serve hot.
