  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice or lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey optional for sweetness
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil for added flavor

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and sesame oil until well combined.
  2. Taste the marinade and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  3. Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
