Ingredients
  

Tuna Salad
  • 2 cans tuna drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise adjust to taste
  • 1 stalk celery finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper to taste
Sandwich Assembly
  • 8 slices bread your choice, e.g., whole grain, white
  • 4 leaves lettuce optional
  • 1 tomato sliced optional

Method
 

Prepare Tuna Salad
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, chopped celery, chopped red onion, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
Assemble Sandwich
  1. Lay out 4 slices of bread and spread a generous amount of the tuna salad mixture on each slice.
  2. Top with lettuce leaves and tomato slices if desired, then place the remaining slices of bread on top to form sandwiches.
  3. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
