Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 1 bunch Swiss chard packed with nutrients
  • 4 medium Yukon Gold potatoes for creamy texture
  • 1 medium onion sauté until golden
  • 2 cloves garlic fresh minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream or lighter cream/almond milk
  • 1 cup cheese (Gruyère or Cheddar) melted for gooey layer
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
For Topping
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs for crunchy contrast
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese for finishing touch

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Sauté chopped onions and garlic in a skillet over medium heat until fragrant and translucent, around 5 minutes.
  3. Add the Swiss chard to the skillet, stirring occasionally until it wilts, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish, followed by half of the Swiss chard mixture. Repeat with another layer of potatoes and chard.
  5. Combine cream, cheese, salt, and pepper in a bowl, then pour this mixture evenly over the layers in the baking dish.
  6. Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbling on top.
