Ingredients
  

For the Crust
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter cold
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
For the Strawberry Filling
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries ripe
  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
For the Topping
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Cream the butter and sugar in a separate bowl until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Combine the wet and dry ingredients gently until just mixed.
  7. Fold in fresh strawberries gently.
  8. Spread the batter evenly into your prepared pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool the bars in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  11. Slice the cooled bars into squares or rectangles as desired.
