Strawberry Hibiscus Iced Tea

Ingredients
  

Tea Base
  • 4 cups water for brewing
  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 cup ice for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Hibiscus Tea
  1. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the dried hibiscus flowers and sugar to the boiling water.
  3. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let it steep for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the hibiscus flowers.
Add Strawberries and Chill
  1. Add the sliced strawberries to the pitcher with the hibiscus tea.
  2. Refrigerate the tea for at least 1 hour to chill.
Serve
  1. Fill glasses with ice and pour the chilled strawberry hibiscus tea over the ice.
  2. Garnish with additional strawberry slices if desired.

Notes
