Ingredients
  

Meat and Vegetables
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 cup onion diced
  • 1 cup green bell pepper diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
Sauce and Seasoning
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
Cheese and Buns
  • 1 cup provolone cheese shredded
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns toasted

Method
 

Cooking the Meat
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the vegetables are soft.
Making the Sauce
  1. Stir in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and let cook for about 10 minutes.
Assembling the Sloppy Joes
  1. Spoon the meat mixture onto the toasted hamburger buns and top with shredded provolone cheese.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy!
