Ingredients
  

Meat and Vegetables
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
Sauce and Seasoning
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
Cheese and Buns
  • 1 cup provolone cheese shredded
  • 4 pieces burger buns or hoagie rolls

Method
 

Cooking the Meat
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
Making the Sauce
  1. Stir in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 10 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
Assembling the Sloppy Joes
  1. Spoon the meat mixture onto the burger buns. Top with shredded provolone cheese.
  2. Serve immediately while the cheese is melty.
