  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour spoon and level for accuracy
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda helps cookies rise
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt use sea salt for flavor
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened) room temperature for creaming
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed) light or dark brown sugar works
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar reduce for less sweetness
  • 2 large eggs room temperature for better mixing
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract pure is best
For the Mix-ins
  • 1 cup circus animal cookies (chopped) use more for extra crunch
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles substitute with chocolate sprinkles if desired
For Decoration
  • 1/4 cup additional rainbow sprinkles sprinkle on top before baking
  • 1 oz white chocolate (melted) drizzle on top after cooling

Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream the butter and sugars in a separate bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gradually.
  6. Fold in colorful circus animal sprinkles and chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop generous mounds of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each ball.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden brown but centers remain soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
