  • 1 cup water Filtered or distilled water is preferred.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender Ensure it's food-grade.

Method
 

Making the Syrup
  1. In a saucepan, combine the water and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Once the sugar is dissolved, add the dried lavender and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  3. Remove from heat and let the lavender steep in the syrup for about 10 minutes.
  4. After steeping, strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer to remove the lavender buds.
  5. Allow the syrup to cool completely before transferring it to a bottle or jar for storage.
