Crockpot Apple Caramel Dump Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 40 oz apple pie filling
  • 1.5 cups caramel squares, cut in half
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 0.5 cups butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Grease a large crockpot using butter or cooking spray.
  2. Pour the apple pie filling into the bottom of the pot and spread evenly.
  3. Add the halved caramel pieces evenly over the apple filling.
  4. Empty one package of yellow cake mix over the top of the caramels and spread it evenly over the top, patting it down gently to form a crust.
  5. Pour the melted butter over top.
  6. In a small bowl mix together the cinnamon and sugar then sprinkle over top of the buttered cake mix.
  7. Cover the crockpot with a lid and let cook for 2.5-3 hours on high or 4-5 hours on low.
  8. Serve warm. Top with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
