Blueberry Jam

Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 4 cups fresh blueberries washed and stems removed
Sweeteners
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
Pectin
  • 1 package pectin for making jam

Method
 

Prepare the Blueberries
  1. In a large saucepan, combine the blueberries and lemon juice. Mash the blueberries slightly with a wooden spoon.
Cook the Jam
  1. Add the sugar and pectin to the saucepan. Stir well and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  2. Once boiling, continue to cook for about 10 minutes or until the mixture thickens.
Jar the Jam
  1. Remove the saucepan from heat. Carefully ladle the hot jam into sterilized jars using a canning funnel.
  2. Seal the jars with lids and allow to cool at room temperature.

Notes
