Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries or frozen, thawed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness of blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
Crumble Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon optional

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the blueberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Toss gently to coat the blueberries evenly.
Make the Crumble Topping
  1. In another mixing bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon. Mix until crumbly.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Spread the blueberry mixture into a baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the blueberries. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the blueberries are bubbling.
Serve
  1. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
