Ingredients
  

  • 1 large egg for egg wash
  • 1 teaspoon water for egg wash
  • 1 package cocktail-sized smoked sausages or little smokies 12-14 ounces
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough 8 ounces
  • flaky salt or everything bagel seasoning for sprinkling (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Whisk together the egg and water in a small bowl until combined. Pat the sausages dry with paper towels.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and cut it into 24 narrow triangles.
  4. Place a sausage at the wide end of each triangle and roll it up, seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  5. Brush the tops and sides with the egg wash and sprinkle with salt or seasoning, if desired.
  6. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
