Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup honey
Flavoring Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and honey.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth.
  3. Add Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
Cook the Sauce
  1. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  2. Reduce heat to low and let it cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool before using or storing.
