Description

Smoked stuffed meatballs are a flavorful twist on a classic favorite, combining tender ground beef with gooey cheese and aromatic herbs, all infused with a rich smoky flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 mix)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 4 oz mozzarella cheese (or your favorite cheese)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, panko breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic powder, Parmesan cheese, and smoked paprika until just combined.
  2. Take a fistful of the mixture, flatten it in your palm, and place a cube of mozzarella in the center. Wrap the meat around the cheese to form a ball.
  3. Roll each stuffed meatball into golf ball-sized shapes.
  4. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). If using an oven or grill, set accordingly for smoking.
  5. Smoke the meatballs for about 1 hour or until they reach an internal temperature of at least 160°F (71°C).
  6. Serve hot with marinara sauce or enjoy them plain.
