- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef and pork sausage until combined.
- Add breadcrumbs, garlic, Parmesan, parsley, Italian seasoning, and eggs; mix gently.
- Form into golf ball-sized meatballs and place on a parchment-lined tray.
- Smoke meatballs for about 1 hour or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- While smoking, heat olive oil in a saucepan; sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes; simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Add smoked meatballs to the sauce for an additional five minutes before serving.
