Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 can (15 oz) sliced peaches in syrup, drained
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Combine warm milk, yeast, and a teaspoon of sugar in a bowl. Let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk flour, remaining sugar, and salt in another bowl.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: Add softened butter and vanilla to the yeast mixture; stir well.
  4. Knead Dough: Combine wet and dry ingredients; knead on a floured surface until smooth (about 5 minutes).
  5. First Rise: Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  6. Prepare Filling: Mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread butter, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mix and peach slices.
  7. Roll & Slice: Roll tightly into a log; cut into individual rolls (2 inches thick).
  8. Bake: Place rolls in a greased baking dish; let rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
