Description

Mini Egg Millionaire’s Shortbread is a decadent treat that will elevate any occasion with its layers of buttery shortbread, rich caramel, and smooth chocolate topping, all adorned with colorful mini eggs.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup chocolate (milk or dark), melted
  • 1 cup mini chocolate eggs (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour to form a crumbly dough.
  3. Press the dough into the prepared baking dish and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sweetened condensed milk and butter, stirring until thickened (about 5 minutes). Pour over cooled shortbread.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  6. Melt the chocolate and pour it over the caramel layer. Sprinkle mini chocolate eggs on top before it sets completely.
  7. Cut into squares and serve.
