  • 1 lb ground pork or beef
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, and soy sauce. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and soy sauce until smooth.
  4. Place the meatballs in the crockpot and pour the sauce over them.
  5. Cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours. Stir occasionally to ensure even coating.
  6. Serve over rice or noodles and garnish with green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
