  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring water, butter, sugar, and salt to a boil. Stir until melted.
  2. Remove from heat; stir in flour until it forms a ball.
  3. Cool slightly and mix in eggs one at a time until smooth.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Pipe rings into hot oil and fry for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Mix powdered sugar and milk for the glaze; drizzle over cooled crullers.
