Description

Air Fryer Churros are a delightful twist on the classic dessert, offering a crispy exterior and soft, pillowy center without the guilt of deep-frying. Coated in cinnamon sugar, these treats are perfect for any occasion—from cozy family nights to festive gatherings. With just a few simple ingredients and your air fryer, you can whip up these irresistible bites in no time!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine water, salt, granulated sugar, and vegetable oil. Bring to a gentle boil.
  2. Stir in flour and baking powder until a cohesive dough forms. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe strips onto parchment paper.
  4. Brush churros lightly with vegetable oil and preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Cook churros in batches for about 10 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
  6. Roll warm churros in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon before serving.
