- 1 cup plain or seasoned breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Cook elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, sauté Brussels sprouts in olive oil over medium heat until tender (about 5-7 minutes).
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, whisk in flour to create a roux, then gradually add milk. Stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
- Combine cooked pasta, sautéed Brussels sprouts, and cheese sauce in a large bowl. Mix well.
- In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs with crumbled bacon; sprinkle over the mac and cheese mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly. Serve warm.
